 Hongsa Power Company has awarded 40 scholarships worth 120 million kip (US$14,900) to students in three districts of Hongsa, Ngeun, and Xienghone in Xayaboury Province for the current 2014-2015 academic year.

 Deputy Managing Director of the Hongsa Power Company, Mr Damrong Thawonwisuttikul, presented the scholarships to the awardees last month.

 Witnessing the event was the Vice Governor of Xayaboury Province, Mr Nyanyong Sipaseuth, teachers, and students.
Hongsa Power has been awarding scholarships to local students since 2010 and has built 12 schools in Hongsa District including four kindergarten schools, five primary schools, and three secondary schools.
