Hongsa Power Participates in Key Forum on Environmental Protection and Investment Promotion, Welcomes Lao PDR Prime Minister to Hongsa Power Exhibition

From 11–12 August 2026, Hongsa Power Company Limited participated in the 1st Exhibition of Private Sector Investment Projects, held as part of the 1st Conference on Investment Promotion and Protection at the Landmark Hotel in Vientiane Capital. The event was organized by the Office of the Committee for Promotion and Protection of Investment of the Lao PDR, with H.E. Saleumxay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, and Chairman of the Committee for Promotion and Protection of Investment, presiding over the event.

A key highlight of the event was the visit of H.E. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, to Hongsa Power’s exhibition booth. The Prime Minister was briefed on the Hongsa Thermal Power Plant Project and the company’s operations. His visit was a great source of pride for Hongsa Power and reflected the significance of the project to the Lao PDR’s energy sector.

In addition, Hongsa Power showcased community products produced by cooperatives supported by the company’s Social Development Department. The exhibition highlighted the outcomes of the company’s livelihood promotion and community capacity-building initiatives. The products received considerable interest from event participants, helping raise awareness of the value and potential of community-based products supported by the company.

Hongsa Power’s participation in this important forum reflects the company’s commitment to responsible business operations across energy, environmental stewardship, and community development, while contributing to the sustainable development of the Lao PDR under the concept of “Powering with CARE.”
