Hongsa Power Welcomes Lao State Holding Enterprise for Site Visit to Hongsa Thermal Power Plant, Sharing Operational Experiences and Management Practices in Line with International Standards

On September 23, 2026, Mr. Pratheep Yoknamngoen, Deputy Managing Director – Finance, Accounting and Commercial, Hongsa Power Company Limited, together with the management team, welcomed Mr. Vanseng Vannavong, Deputy Director of Lao State Holding Enterprise, and his delegation on the occasion of their visit to the Hongsa Thermal Power Project. The visit aimed to gain insights into the project’s operations and exchange practical experiences from its field operations.

The visit focused on key operational processes of the Hongsa Thermal Power Project, covering electricity generation, annual power plant maintenance, mining operations, as well as coal storage and management for use as fuel in electricity generation. These processes demonstrate an integrated and systematic approach to management, connecting the fuel supply chain from its source through to the electricity generation process.

In addition, the visiting delegation exchanged knowledge and experiences on social development, environmental management, as well as occupational health and safety management, which are integral components of the project’s operations. Hongsa Power places strong emphasis on operating in accordance with international standards, including ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OH&S MS). These standards provide a systematic framework for environmental and safety management, with continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement.

The site visit was therefore more than an observation of operational facilities. It provided an opportunity to learn from the project’s practical experiences and field-based lessons across electricity generation, maintenance, mining management, and related support systems. The knowledge and practices gained from the visit can be further adapted and applied to enhance the efficiency of Lao State Holding Enterprise’s operations in alignment with international management standards.
