Hongsa Power Strengthens Commitment to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Standards, Advancing Excellence in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Management

From 22–24 September 2026, Hongsa Power Company Limited underwent a Surveillance Audit of its ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OH&S MS), conducted by auditors from Bureau Veritas (Thailand) Ltd. The audit aimed to review and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s management systems in accordance with international standards, as well as to assess the continued implementation of standard requirements in actual operations.

The audit covered management systems, processes, and actual practices in the workplace, including risk control, compliance with Work Procedures, and the management of environmental, occupational health, and safety aspects. The objective was to ensure that the standards are effectively implemented across the project.

Over the years, Hongsa Power Company Limited and its contractors have continuously worked together to strengthen operational practices, with a strong emphasis on discipline, care, and responsibility among everyone. This commitment ensures that standards become an integral part of everyday work and serve as a key foundation for achieving the goals of “ZERO FATALITY, ZERO LTI, and ZERO NON-COMPLIANCE.”

Mr. Kathayuth Chupoon, Managing Director of Hongsa Power Company Limited, emphasized that the Surveillance Audit is an opportunity to review work practices, strengthen risk control, and further raise operational standards. He encouraged all departments, employees, and contractors across the project to consistently prioritize safety, environmental protection, and strict compliance with standards and Work Procedures in their daily operations.

In particular, supervisors at all levels are expected to Lead by Example through effective communication with their teams, risk reviews, and workplace inspections, ensuring that everyone understands the standards and can put them into practice. This collaborative approach helps establish consistent standards across all areas and activities—not only during audits, but as part of everyday operations.

Hongsa Power upholds the principle that “Standards are not just in documents, but in every decision we make and every action we take.” This is achieved through the collective commitment of management, employees, and contractors, all of whom play an important role in putting consistent standards into practice across every task and every workplace.

The audit therefore represents another important opportunity to learn, improve, and elevate operational performance. Observations and recommendations from the auditors will be used to further enhance management systems and work processes, while also preparing for the future transition from ISO 14001:2015 to ISO 14001:2026.

Hongsa Power Company Limited remains committed to maintaining international standards and fostering a workplace culture that places the highest importance on life, safety, the environment, and quality, guided by the principle of “Protect Life • Conserve Environment • Build Sustainable Success.” Through this commitment, Hongsa Power strives to ensure that everyone returns home safely, protects the environment responsibly, strengthens stakeholder confidence, delivers reliable energy across the region, and drives the organization toward sustainable success.
