Hongsa Power Executives Paid a Courtesy Visit to the Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR

On September 2, 2025, the executive management team of Hongsa Power Company Limited paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Madam Bounkham Volachit, Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR, in Vientiane Capital. The purpose of the visit was to report on the progress of the Hongsa Mine-Mouth Power Plant Project and to exchange views on potential financial and investment cooperation to further strengthen the country’s economic stability and energy security.

On this occasion, the Governor highlighted the role of the Hongsa Power Project as a model of efficient financial management, while upholding the highest standards in technical excellence, safety, environmental protection, and shared value creation with communities. She further emphasized the importance of collaboration between the energy sector and financial institutions in laying the foundation for a sustainable economy in the Lao PDR.

This meeting underscored the critical role of the financial sector in supporting strategic investment, while reaffirming the strong partnership between the public and private sectors in advancing energy and economic standards of the Lao PDR towards regional integration and a more sustainable future.
