“Hongsa Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony 2025: The Power of Faith and Unity in Preserving Buddhist Traditions”
On 14 October 2025, Hongsa Power Company Limited, in collaboration with Hongsa District, organized the Hongsa Kathin Robe Offering Ceremony 2025 at Phonchan Temple, Ban Phonchan, Hongsa District.
The ceremony was graciously co-chaired by Mr. Phomma Phommahan, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee of Hongsa, and Mr. Kathayuth Chupoon, Managing Director of Hongsa Power Company Limited.
Executives and staff members of the Hongsa Power Project, district and village leaders, representatives from public and private sectors, and Buddhist devotees joined the event in unity and faith.
This year’s event aimed to raise funds for the construction of a new drum tower, ensuring that the temple continues to serve as a spiritual center for Buddhist communities, a venue for religious ceremonies, and a place for moral learning and community development in Hongsa.
Hongsa Power Company Limited and Hongsa District have continuously supported and upheld the Kathin Robe Offering tradition since 2014, organizing the ceremony annually at various temples across the district — including
2014 at Ban Nakenkham Temple,
2015 at Ban Phonsoung Temple,
2016 at Ban Thenkham Temple,
2017 at Ban Simunkhun Temple,
2018 at Ban Muanghan Temple,
2019 at Ban Sibounruang Temple,
2020 at Ban Chomchaeng Temple,
2021 at Ban Wiangkaew Temple,
2022 at Thung Temple, Ban Sibounruang,
2023 at Ban Phonsai Temple,
2024 at Ban Chomchaeng Temple,
and in 2025 at Phonchan Temple, Ban Phonchan, Hongsa District.
For this year, the total donation raised amounted to 186,084,500 LAK, 211,440 THB, and 57 CNY, which will be utilized for the restoration and development works according to the intended purpose.
