Hongsa Power Welcomes the Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Thailand on a Visit to the Hongsa Thermal Power Plant Project and Receives a Certificate of Appreciation

On 23 June 2026, H.E. Sisavath Inphachan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to the Kingdom of Thailand, paid an official visit to the Hongsa Thermal Power Plant Project at the Hongkham Xayakhan Building. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Surawut Kosintrakulchai, Deputy Managing Director – Power Plant, Mr. Yutthana Chulapanthong, Director – Corporate Affairs, Hongsa Power Company Limited, together with the Company's management team.

On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Hongsa Power Company Limited in recognition of the Company's generous financial support for the Lao New Year Celebration 2026, organized by the Embassy of the Lao PDR in Bangkok on 5 April 2026. The recognition reflects the Company's continued commitment to supporting cultural initiatives and fostering the longstanding friendship and close relations between the Lao PDR and Thailand.

During the visit, the management team also provided an overview of the Hongsa Thermal Power Plant Project, highlighting its significant role in generating and supplying reliable electricity to strengthen the energy security of both the Lao PDR and Thailand. The discussion also covered opportunities to further enhance regional cooperation in the energy sector and promote sustainable development.

The visit marked another important milestone in strengthening the relationship between the business and diplomatic sectors, reaffirming the strong partnership between the Lao PDR and Thailand. It also underscored Hongsa Power Company Limited's commitment to conducting its business responsibly while creating shared economic and social value, strengthening international cooperation, and contributing to sustainable development for the benefit of both countries.
